

A large fire in Serbia, near the Bulgarian border, has caused heavy smoke in parts of the Sofia and Pernik regions. The smell of burning vegetation is also felt in the area.
The Sofia Inspectorate has already begun investigating the level of fine dust particles over Sofia. So far, there is no information about flights being blocked due to the smog. Pages published in Sofia Municipality
The Municipality of Kostinbrod warned residents to be especially careful and published safety recommendations, reports NEW.
People are advised to close the windows and doors of their homes and avoid spending time outdoors. It is also advised not to engage in physical activity outdoors.

Parents of young children, the elderly, and people with respiratory problems should pay particular attention. If you experience difficulty breathing or feel unwell, you should seek medical attention.
The municipality calls on citizens to follow official announcements from the competent institutions and to remain calm.
